Today the build 43135 is released. It doesn’t include many new features because I have been focusing on bug fixing and merging things into FreeCAD.
The only new feature is the task watcher in assembly. That will help new users discover the workbench.
Other noteworthy things :
- The ‘2 sides’ rework for the extrude tool has merged into upstream.
- A lot of fixes have been merged in FreeCAD. I reached 400 PR, you can check the list here if you want to check in details what’s going on.
- Other developpers have also been busy in FreeCAD. We notably have the previews for PartDesign operations. It looks really nice.
So now what’s to come? I’m going to continue focusing on bug fixing. Because that’s the most important thing IMO. Making the application rock-solid.
Aside from that I am also planning some small features in assembly :
- Solver message box similar to sketcher’s. The goal is to report when there are conflicting constraints. I think it will really help users.
- Selection a joint should highlight the parts to make it easier to see what joint it is.
And perhaps a few other things.
Last I wanted to know more about you in order to improve my communication so I made a small survey with 3 questions, it’ll take litteraly 30s to fill : https://forms.gle/Syk4Y5taMBqbVz2FA
And it will help me improve my communication and reach sustainability faster ! 🙂
That’s all for today, thanks very much for your support, and have a good day.
