Today I’m happy to release the build 43886 of AstoCAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve spent most of my time fixing bugs, which is still my main goal, but I managed to make 2 new features !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 – Assembly Solver message widget : A widget similar to sketcher’s to report overconstraints : https:\/\/youtu.be\/-L2SJm8oGwY<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 – TechDraw Annotation rework 2. My previous rework was nice but not ideal. So I went and made it even better : https:\/\/youtu.be\/BjZ61SK4mFk<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aside from that I wanted to give you an update on AstoCAD situation. Currently there are around 400 members (510 counting those who cancelled renewal). Which makes a gross revenue around 2200\u20ac \/ month. After VAT payment, and all kind of charges on wages, that leaves me around 1100\u20ac \/ month. Which is not quite enough to make a living, but already quite substantial! And the good news is that it is slowly but steadily increasing! So I think we’ll get there ! \ud83d\ude42
So the takeaway is that I think that AstoCAD will make it in the long run. So I wanted to thank you guys very much for your support and making it possible. And thanks for sharing too, I often read recommandations to try AstoCAD on reddit or discord and it is always a great pleasure to see that. That helps spreading the news and getting more people involved, that’s awesome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
